The speaker’s name is Liz Arnold. She is a friend, and many of we Dem voters and activists are very frustrated and disappointed by the arrogance with which 100% of our primary candidates (except Max Myers) have addressed the concerns Liz expresses. A call for a moratorium is in our PA Democratic Party Platform, which these candidates are running under.
Thank you, Liz for asking. After all: NONE of these candidates live in, or spend any real time in, the sacrifice zones of the PA gaslands. Sacrifice zone life includes “children waking up with nose-bleeds, people passing out from the fumes while taking a shower, families being told not to light their stoves because their houses may explode, families living without water three years later” Liz and Craig Stevens, a lifelong conservative Tea Party Republican, who is considering voting Democrat for the first time in his life, who also got thrown out for speaking up after they hauled Liz out, document.
Here is Liz’ latest on this courageous undertaking. Turns out she’s no hero, just fed up:
PA @TheDemocrats Governor “candidates avoid (Fracking) like the plague, while we live the scourge.”
Dems in the Hershey/Hummelstown/Middletown area who feel as Liz and I do, consider writing me in next Tuesday. If elected, I’ve long pledged to:
“Acknowledge and respond to harm from fracking (citing the same List of the Harmed’s over 6,000 families Liz cites), a generous severance tax, and equal moratorium protections from fracking.”
